The build (pick any — the forge derives the rest, and the backstory is written to fit)
The Ninety Budget: levels sum across every school you climb, ceiling 90. The highest school per Modality is your PRIMARY ★ (lane pricing; alone may take T9, the capstone). The rest climb ring-shifted. Overrides the Class pick in generation.
Progression to 90 — the five lanes
Then, if you like, answer any of these — or leave them blank and let the build write the person:

Settings Workshop
Tune the physics of your world. Every modality is present in every setting — RT and WT determine the economics.
Modality Dials
Modality Reference
Thaumaturgy
Structure of intent, effect, and meaning
The modality of pure will made manifest. Spells, hexes, rituals, and all forms of direct metaphysical manipulation. On Modern Earth, the world actively resists it — not because it doesn't exist, but because the ambient field has shifted away from it. A Modern Earth mage pays Tier 9 costs for Tier 2 returns. In the Cretaceous, these values invert entirely.
Transmogrification
Structure of the actor, tool, or medium
The modality of physical and biological transformation. Shape-shifting, biological enhancement, material alteration. Requires something to transform — the Converter cannot create from nothing. High WT settings reward practitioners who reshape themselves and their tools.
Telesoterics
Structure of mind, projection, and reception
The modality of cognitive force across distance. Telepathy, empathic projection, psionic manipulation, remote perception. The Caster type is native to this modality — psychological force that works anywhere because it requires no environmental source. Extremely rare and poorly rewarded on Modern Earth.
Transcendentalism
Structure of spirit, bond, and obligation
The modality of the spirit, sacred bonds, and obligations that transcend the physical. Prayer, communion, covenant magic, the mechanics of Bonds elevated to metaphysical force. The Conduit channels this from Source. On Modern Earth it exists — spiritual practice is real — but the Setting doesn't reward it generously.
Technics
Structure of intentional construction and design
The modality of deliberate craft and engineered systems. Tools, machines, algorithms, architecture, medicine, code. The Converter's native domain on Modern Earth. RT2/WT9 makes this the only net-positive modality on the canon setting — every Technics Milestone costs almost nothing and returns an enormous reward. This is why technological civilisation dominates.
Live Economics
Units & Settlements — eusocial entities
A collective can produce what its members cannot: n contributed Splices become F(n) Community Splices. Echelons are Fibonacci (3 fire teams + a leader = 13, a squad).
Morale is the Drive matrix — a casualty is a Bond loss.

Craft — a Lair
Describe one place the way you would to a friend who is going to run it: what it is, who is there, what is wrong, what the players want.
The engine recognises rooms, people, exits and what can be attempted; it never invents a number. Up to 13 rooms. Names it had to choose are marked proposed.
Physical pure Mana: reflective for +, matte for −. Extraction unhouses it from its T9 vessel — the danger is the absence of the bones.
Bonewrights build WITH the vessel; extractors have a mortality rate.
The Deity Crafter — Build Your Own Deity
The Host: worship is a Bond, obligation is the coin flowing up, and boons follow the SERVICE —
the devout observe; the cleric converts. Census caps enforced (one God per domain at T9).
Science the Convergence — the Card Crafter
The Novicius Adventure Deck: 55 cards — a 13-card source row (never shuffled; place one per turn) + a 42-card draw pile — with the Commander in the command zone.
Baselines: 8 splices/turn · sources tap for 5 Stamana · 20 Hearts fast, 40 long.
Item Forge
Design a magic item, see its true cost, and mint it into the world — priced by the same physics that runs the game, so nothing you forge is ever broken.
Balanced by physics, not vibes Every item is costed by the engine that runs actual play. If the Forge will sell it to you, your GM can trust it at the table.
Real, numbered, and rare Forging mints a numbered instance in the world registry, under a hard scarcity cap. When only three of something can ever exist, yours means something.
Can't make it? Go find it. Over the cap, or too ancient to craft? The Forge turns your design into a discovery or a quest — a ready-made hook for your GM instead of a dead end.
How it works: stack up to 10 Facets → watch the Tier, cast cost, and rarity derive live → Compute to price it, ⚒ Forge to make it real.
Know your prices before you build. Your Primary school makes some magic cheap for you and some dear — pick it and get your personal cost map across all 40 schools: ×1 at home, rising with distance (×2 Secondary · ×3 Tertiary/Universal · ×5 Forbidden, +1 for crossing Modalities). Mastering your own school first, then spiraling outward, is the whole climb — this map shows you the road.
See the two spells your caster already knows — every school starts you with a matched pair, ready for the table. The Forward spell is the giving one (all three of the school's Facets, additive); the Reverse spell is the taking one (the same three, turned). Master the pair and you've opened the school — and the road into its whole Modality.
No rules knowledge needed: say it in plain words — "a dagger that drinks the warmth from whoever it cuts" — and the Forge recognizes the magic behind your idea and prices it honestly, same as any hand-built design. (Recognition spends real AI tokens, so this door opens with an access word from your GM.)
Formula — 1/10 Facets
Slots — what your item can hold beyond its magic (filling all five is what makes a true artifact)
Forged registry
Your forgings — each a numbered instance counted against the world's cap. The caps are global even though the view is yours: scarcity on the record is what makes yours matter.
